We’re Joining Bloglovin’
Bloglovin’ is a place to find blogs for any interest, and I decided to put this blog into the listings so people could find it more easily. One of the steps was to write a new post and paste some code into it. This blog is just to join the network and get the right code in the right place for Bloglovin’ to pick up the RSS feed.
North San Luis Obispo County – Rural and Urban Views
Just so you don’t waste a click, I’m posting a couple of photos I haven’t used yet in this blog. Although no part of our mostly rural county is typically urban, we do have some incorporated cites. So I will show you one of the landmarks in the heart of Atascadero — the Carlton Hotel. It is historic, but not always in business, even since it was remodeled and reopened a few years ago after years of being closed. I will write more about it in a future post. This is about as tall as our buildings get — even in the cities.
Now for contrast, here’s a view of my favorite family farm during apple season. Jack Creek Farm is in rural Templeton on Highway 46 West.
Here are some scenes of Jack Creek Farm in August 2015. In September, 2013 I captured video and photos of their threshing bee when they were harvesting wheat. Jack Creek Farms is one of my favorite places and I will write more about it in future posts.
If you actually read to the end of this atypical post, I wish you a happy and safe Labor Day weekend. I will be staying home, laboring. It seems safer for me to stay off the roads during holiday weekends as much as possible. Don’t miss any of our real posts about California. Please keep up with them by returning to the top of this post and clicking to follow us at Bloglovin.
